About K9 Friends
Founded in 1989, K9 Friends is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned and stray dogs across the UAE. For over three decades, our volunteers have ensured every dog in our care receives shelter, medical treatment, and daily attention while waiting to find a loving forever home.
Mission
To give every dog a safe, loving home for life through responsible rehoming. We neuter, health-check, and carefully match each dog with the right family, while promoting education and responsible ownership to create a sustainable solution for stray dogs in the UAE.
Organization
We are a registered non-profit organization through the government's Community Development Authority (CDA). This means any money we make is reinvested directly into the care of our dogs and the daily operation of the shelter.
Support
Our purpose-built shelter was generously provided by the Government in 2009. While this support makes our work possible, the day-to-day operations of the shelter relies on funds we raise through memberships, adoption fees, corporate sponsorships and the sale of merchandise.
Volunteers
We rely on a group of passionate volunteers who help in our office and kennels, as well as local companies and members of the public who support the work we are doing. With this continued support we can really make a difference to the welfare of dogs in the UAE.
