Bert and Ernie have come to us as their family were not going to have the time available that these two boys needed. This chocolate coloured duo are total ladies men but while they love the ladies it just takes a little bit more time for them to bond with men. Ideally the best home for Bert and Ernie would be a home where they could stay together, without small children and a family who have Dachshund experience would be an added bonus. Ernie is very confident and without a doubt the leader of the pair, his brother Bert relies heavily on having him nearby. The pair have very typical Dachshund personalities and are affectionate and protective with maybe a little hint of stubbornness.
